This page matches the copy inside the app exactly — read either.

NoodleTon is built so that almost nothing about your child ever needs to leave their device. The one thing that does is a parent/guardian account — see below.

What we collect

About your child, on-device only, by default:

About you, the parent or guardian, to create your account: an email address or phone number, and a password. A phone number is verified with a one-time SMS code. Your password is handled entirely by Firebase Authentication (Google) — we never see or store it in plain text. This is never collected from or entered by the child — account creation is a separate, clearly adult-facing step.

Parent/guardian account

Starting a free trial or subscription requires a parent/guardian account. We store your email or phone number, when your trial started, and your subscription status in our database (Google Cloud Firestore) so your subscription follows you across reinstalls. This information is never shared with third parties and never linked to anything about your child beyond the anonymous local profile described above.

Optional profile photo

By default, your profile is one of our built-in cartoon mascots — no photo needed. If you choose to add your own picture (Profile → tap the avatar), it's picked from your photo library, saved only in this app's private storage on this device, and never uploaded, synced, or seen by us — including if you later join a class. Switch back to a mascot or delete your data at any time and the photo file is deleted immediately.

Analytics

We use Firebase Analytics (Google) to understand aggregate, anonymous app usage — things like how many sessions happen, which games are played, and how long they last — so we can improve the app. This is never used for advertising, is never used to build a profile of your child individually, and no demographic data (age, gender, etc.) is collected or inferred.

What we don't collect

We do not use advertising SDKs, show ads, or build advertising profiles. We do not collect precise location, contacts, or microphone/camera access. Photo library access is used only if you choose to add a custom profile photo — see above.

If you join a class (optional)

Entering a teacher-issued class code is the only way anything about your child specifically leaves the device (the account/trial/subscription data above is about you, the parent, not the child). If you enter a class code, we sync the anonymous token, avatar, nickname, and aggregate session stats (not individual answers) to Firebase (Google Cloud) so a teacher can see class-wide progress. Skipping this keeps that part 100% offline forever.

Subscriptions

Payment is handled entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play — we never see or store your card, UPI, or bank details. Apple/Google share only that a subscription is active, not your payment information.

Voice and sound

Spoken narration uses your device's own built-in text-to-speech engine. Nothing you or your child says is recorded — the app has no microphone access.

Crash reports

If the app crashes, we receive a technical report (what code failed, device model, OS and app version) through Firebase Crashlytics so we can fix it. This never includes anything you typed, played, or any way to identify who was using the app — we never attach a name, id, or profile to a crash report.

Children's privacy

This app is designed for young children and built to meet that responsibility from the ground up: no behavioral advertising, no PII about your child sent to us or shared with third parties for their own purposes. Nothing here is ever collected from or entered by the child directly — the account/payment step is a distinct, adult-facing part of the app the child never sees. A custom profile photo, if you choose to add one, stays entirely on-device by design — we built the feature so that we ourselves never receive it.

Deleting your data

Open Profile → Delete My Data in the app to permanently erase your local profile, play history, and class membership from this device immediately, remove your email/phone and trial/subscription record from our database, and sign you out. To delete the sign-in identity itself (your Firebase account), email hello@noodleton.com.
